Krissy's Hard-Core Green Juice
I start most days with a fresh juice. Sometimes it's straight celery or my Hard-core Green Juice. The key to a great juice is making sure that you have a good citrus base such as lemon, lime or orange. From The Real Krissy Marsh Cookbook

Method
Makes 2 large glassesUsing a cold-press juice extractor, juice 5 celery sticks, the torn leaves from 2 stems of kale, a handful of baby spinach, a small handful of fresh herbs such as parsley or basil from the garden (only add herbs if you have them on hand), a 3cm-piece of fresh ginger, and 1 peeled lemon.
After you have extracted the juice from all the ingredients, pour ¼ cup of water through the juicer to push the last bits through. I like to strain my juice through a sieve into a tall tumbler.
For a not so hard-core green juice, add 2 large green apples. The result is just that little bit sweeter.
